This was taken around 1973 at our present lake and shows me rescuing a sunken power boat in freezing conditions.

Wow... nice image Simon... I bet there are loads of old photos around... might be nice to have some for the website.

I have several, which I passed onto Dave ages ago but if I can I will attach two more. These show the main lake as farmland in the 50's and as it was 10 years ago, both taken from what I think is the same position. OOPs the later picture is too big a file!!, I will have to find a way to reduce it. Anyway, this picture was taken half way along the big lake on the café side.

I have reduced the size of the file and it now works. The houses shown in the old photo are behind the trees in the later one and in approx. the same position.

Found this recently. according to the scribbles on the back of the print it's a Jaguar Mk2 powered by an OS40SR at Fairlands in 1978. I owned it for a while but I believe it was owned and built by Howard Chesterton (SMAMS member) originally.
